RALLY + HEARING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Fri, May 12 @ 11:30 am
We're looking for volunteers for our upcoming Disability Rights Rally + Fairness Hearing on Friday, May 12 starting at 11:30 AM. If you're able to help us out, please email community@mns4dsi.net to let us know how you'd like to help, any questions you have, and the best way to contact you. Thank you in advance!
- Sign Makers — 5 to 7 community members willing to make a few disability rights signs before Friday, May 12.
- Drivers — one or two community members willing to drive people to and from the event. We are looking into renting a wheelchair-accessible van, if needed.
- Livestreamer — a community member to livestream the rally to our YouTube channel using their mobile phone; basically a camera operator. We have a tripod and mobile phone holder so we can offer a steady image.
- Photographers — two or three community members willing to roam around during the rally capturing photos with their mobile phone or digital camera. Photos will be uploaded to a shared album after the rally. Photos cannot be taken in the federal building or courtroom.
- Guides — 3 to 5 community members willing to assist event participants to find the drop off location, nearest parking, accessible entrances, restrooms, plus the best way to get from the rally location courtyard to the fairness hearing courtroom. Basically, answering questions and providing assistance as needed.
