Hi. My name is Lance. I have a form of muscular dystrophy, called spinal muscular atrophy. I rely on the help of others to use the restroom, bathe, dress, move between my wheelchair and bed, brush my teeth, comb my hair, shave, prepare meals, clean, do laundry, shop — basically, to be my arms and legs since my muscles don't work. Others' help has allowed me to survive, to be involved with family and friends, to earn a masters’ degree, to work, plus, to be involved with my communities.
But, our community support systems have been collapsing for several years.
Please help Minnesotans like me to have better health, safety, and dignity. Stay informed. Check out our YouTube content, subscribe to our email updates, and follow our social media! Create and share your own content to raise awareness and bring our communities together. Connect, inform, encourage, and empower! Thank you!
