Video Transcript
Because of Minnesota’s collapsing support systems, people have needed to move out of their homes and into assisted living communities, or group homes, or nursing homes in hopes of meeting their basic health, safety, and dignity needs.
Those places desperately struggle to find compassionate, reliable, and qualified workers too; often closing rooms, wings, entire floors, and some sites completely due to insufficient staff.
Dislocated people are transferred to hospitals. Some seek refuge with family or friends in hopes of being protected from neglect, abuse, and exploitation. Even in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, and hospitals, many still need family and friends to help because no one else is available.
You can help us improve health, safety, and dignity for all Minnesotans. Stay informed. Check out our YouTube content, subscribe to our email updates, and follow our social media!
